My Interests

I enjoy several hobbies in my spare time.  One of these hobbies is camping.  I enjoy cabin camping, tent camping, and, occasionally, backpacking along the Appalachian Trail. It's fun to spend time with good friends while enjoying the wonders of the outdoors.  I also enjoy hiking and learning more about my natural surroundings.

Another hobby that I take part in frequently is digital photography.  I got hooked on digital photography a few years ago when I purchased my first digicam.  Now I am on my second, a Canon Powershot A40.  My favorite photographic subjects are people, though I also like to photograph natural subjects such as trees, plants, clouds, and rocks.

And, of course, computers are a third hobby that I am particularly fond of.  I enjoy digital image editing, web page development, and simple programming in C++ and Java.  I'm also an avid fan of email and instant messaging.  I've been fascinated by computers since I was young and my strong interest in them will be sure to continue.
